Miklos Bacskai holds MD degree as general medical doctor, postgraduate degree in Health Economics, MSc degree in political science and qualifications as an information system developer. He had worked for years at the National Health Insurance Fund Administration as the Deputy Head of Department of Drugs’ Pricing & Reimbursement, until he set up Healthware Consulting Ltd. with his colleagues in 2004. He is currently Managing Director and the Chief Strategy & Business Development Officer at Healthware Consulting Ltd.
Healthware is one of the most dedicated health economic consulting and research company in Hungary, which is committed to develop, analyze and support health-care and financing decisions using recorded health-related data. Miklos managed several health research programme on real world data involving the available financing and clinical databases to evaluate or modelling real world efficacy and cost-effectiveness of some health technologies and pharmaceuticals in recent years. He also contributed to develop more IT applications, data processing and adjusted statistical methods to enhance the effectiveness of research protocols of retrospective observational studies.
